Live Audio for Ceremonies and Events

Stream live audio from a ceremony or event directly to guests' phones — weddings, graduations, religious services, panels, and live talks. Guests join by scanning a QR code, no app required. No PA system, no venue installation needed.

When It's Needed

Not every ceremony venue has a working PA system. Not every outdoor space can be wired for sound. And even in a wired venue, guests in overflow areas, adjacent rooms, or outside the main hall may miss parts of the event entirely.

OpenedMic solves this by turning every guest's smartphone into a personal audio receiver. The officiant, speaker, or performer is heard clearly — regardless of where in the venue the guest is sitting, standing, or waiting.

Common Scenarios

How Event Organizers Use It

  1. Open openedmic.app and select Ceremony mode.
  2. Print or display the QR code — in the event program, on a screen at the entrance, or sent in advance via message.
  3. Guests scan the QR code when they arrive and are listening by the time the event begins.
  4. Press MIC ON when the speaker or performer begins.

Ceremony Mode

The Ceremony broadcast mode is tuned for the acoustic character of intimate, mixed environments:

Frequently Asked Questions

Can guests join from different rooms?
Yes. Guests in overflow rooms, adjacent spaces, or even outdoors can join and hear the session in real time as long as they have a mobile data or WiFi connection on their device.
Will the audio disturb other guests if phones are not muted?
Guests listening through earphones produce no ambient noise. The broadcast audio is delivered only to the listener's earphones — it does not play through the phone speaker unless the guest chooses to enable that.
Can two interpreters broadcast simultaneously for different languages?
Yes. Each broadcaster opens a separate room. You can have one room for the original audio and a separate room for a live interpreter. Guests join the room for their preferred language.
Is there a delay between the speaker and what listeners hear?
WebRTC delivers audio with low latency — typically under one second. In most ceremony contexts this is imperceptible, especially when guests are not in the same physical line of sight as the speaker.
